Learning Enrichment:reading Skills in the Social Studies

Discussion of the critical reading skills needed in Social Studies, although the skills discussed can apply to a variety of areas. There are a many good ideas for teaching critical reading that can be applied outside of their plans, though, including tips for before, during, and after reading, as well as information about Bloom's taxonomy, academic vocabulary, and preparing college-bound students.
