Agriculture surrounds us every day; incorporate measuring tools into a study of Oklahoma's agricultural industry! Small groups read an informational text (included) before visiting stations where they investigate prices of various farmer-produced products. Organizing information on a worksheet (included), learners estimate prices and weight of the food before weighing it and calculating the actual price. They move from station to station and discuss standard and nonstandard measuring tools. There are plenty of ways to extend thinking on this one- take your pick!
