Do your actions reflect your values? Scholars examine their day-to-day activities versus their passions during the eighth installment in a series of 12 character-building lessons. After defining their values, participants create calendars of their activities, then discuss with a partner how well the two mesh.

Classroom Considerations

  • Prior to the lesson, participants should define their top three values and write them on index cards for future use
  • Determine ahead of time how long the class will be tracking their activities and provide them with a calendar for doing so

  • Great to use as a stand-alone or ongoing self assessment tool
  • Individuals build self assessment, active listening, and discussion skills during the leadership activities
