Graphs to Represent a Data Set

Curated and Reviewed by Lesson Planet

How many animals did Chaplin see at the zoo? Scholars examine three data sets and create a bar graph for each. Encourage them to label the different parts of their graphs, as this is not prompted on the worksheet. Once they finish their graph, pupils further analyze the data by answering three comprehension questions. Keep in mind the text here (especially in the first scenario) contains errors. Use this to introduce data analysis before having scholars create and graph their own data collection results.
