Gathering Textual Evidence: “Invisibility” of Those Interned

Curated and Reviewed by Lesson Planet

Add another layer to the class's understanding. Scholars deepen their knowledge of the primary sources in their Japanese-American Internment during World War II packet and determine how the sources relate to the theme of invisibility. They write evidence on sentence strips and tape the strips to the large primary source posted on the wall where they match. To finish, learners share out with the class and then review The Life of Miné Okubo and their Gathering Textual Evidence note catcher.
