Analyzing Federal Reserve Data

Who or what is FRED, and what has FRED to do with the United States economy? Six resources in the "Analyzing Federal Reserve Data" unit module focus on how the Federal Reserve uses employment data, gross domestic product (GDP), and inflation to determine the economy's overall health. Young economists not only analyze data from FRED (The Federal Reserve of St. Louis) but also engage in a game that lets them act as chairman of the reserve.
