Young scholars are challenged to write a realistic analysis of Tennessee Williams' nonrealistic memory play, The Glass Menagerie. Writers use the evidence gathered on their worksheets to craft an effective thesis and concluding statement which they share in a class-wide critique. They then share a model sentence that includes textual evidence and again critique these sentences. As homework, class members incorporate suggestions to compose their essay on William's use of Expressionism in The Glass Menagerie.
