Pairs take turns acting out an emotion, one uses body language while the other guesses what emotion they are portraying. A brief discussion is held between turns.

Instructional Ideas
  • Before assigning the activity, brainstorm feeling words and invite learners to practice using body language 
  • Take pictures of class members acting out emotions, post pictures with the corresponding emotion written on it as a reference tool for all 
  • Send a letter home to family members, explain the lesson's objective and describe ways they can continue the social and emotional learning process outside of school
