Students research African American involvement in World War II and the Double V campaign. In this African American history lesson plan, students review Jim Crow and watch a related video. Students complete the Double V image graphic organizer and work in groups to compare notes from the video. Students view the video again and complete a Double V worksheet. Students use the Double V essay worksheet to help them write an essay about the topic.
