Students participate in a series of experiments to determine how acid rain contributes to the deterioration of buildings and monuments. Using common building materials, students compare the noticeable short-term affects of distilled water to that of acid rain when applied to the common building materials. Finally, students take part in an effort to prevent any further damage to buildings and monuments in their area by contacting local authorities for assistance.
