This Introduce /p/ lesson plan also includes:
Navigate the letter p without leaving anything out: combine pronunciation, recognition, letter sound, and word examples. Scholars examine the letter shape and listen to you pronounce the /p/ sound. As you explain how this sound is made, they give it a try. The class thinks of words that begin with this phoneme and are challenged to a fast-thinking letter-recognition game. Pupils watch as you point to letters one at a time; if you point to a p they say its sound. For all other letters, they stay silent. The pronunciation guide isn't worth your time for this one, but the letter cards may be helpful.
