This Introduce /e/ lesson plan also includes:
Examine the most-used letter in the English language incorporating pronunciation, letter recognition, letter sound, and word examples for the letter e. Scholars examine the letter shape and listen to you pronounce the /eee/ sound. As you explain how this sound is made, they try to do it. Learners help you brainstorm words that begin with this phoneme and are challenged to a fast-thinking letter-recognition game. Pupils watch as you point to letters one at a time; if you point to an e they say its sound. For all other letters, they stay silent. The pronunciation guide isn't worth your time for this one, but the letter cards may be helpful.
