Art projects are great ways to stimulate all the senses. Learners with visual impairments create art to better grasp the concept of day and night. They'll discuss the ways they know the difference in the time of day, the animals that are out at night, and read the story Zzzz - The Book of Sleep. They'll use pre-cut items to construct day and night owls. Tip: Be sure to discuss the tactile sensations they encounter during the art project and if any of the materials feel like day or night.
