Young science learners construct a greenhouse out of a plastic bottle. They use a nail to punch a hole through which a thermometer will be inserted to monitor the temperature. This simple experiment easily demonstrates the greenhouse effect. Have your scientists design a data table to record temperature readings every 10 minutes. Please note that the caps should be placed on the bottles, or the temperature difference may not be as clear.
