App Overview

Users can simply swipe forward or back to browse through the calendar, or select a specific day in the calendar feature. Unfortunately, there is no search option.

For almost any date, there are three to six entries, each with an image, one sentence description, and links to additional information.

Entries are generally one to two paragraphs; some include audio or video clips.

Instructional Ideas

Virtually any content area may benefit from access to this resource. It could make for a great daily warm-up activity, or a supplemental reference source.

Classroom Considerations

The inability to search for a particular event or person makes this less useful. Young learners would find navigation a breeze, but the vocabulary level is likely too high for elementary school.

Pros

  • Easy to use
  • Authoratative information
