Division or multiplication? Scholars examine 36 number sentences, each missing either a division or multiplication symbol...but which one fits? They write in the signs based on the numbers given, all of which are whole numbers. The first 18 are simply numbers while the last 18 are measurements and include units. Remind scholars that, although this looks more complicated, they are doing the same thing and the units don't change the numbers. There are six word problems to help them strengthen these concepts, all of which are set up as missing factor or dividend question (i.e. "Which number divided by 6 equals 6?").
