Wordless Picture Books

Curated and Reviewed by Lesson Planet

Students use wordless picture books to examine elements regarding a story, the plot, and characters. For this wordless picture books lesson, students select a book to creatively discuss. Students then listen to the teacher read the story and the students create a picture in their minds about the wordless story.  Students engage in explaining what is happening in the story. Students then use their creative insights to write their own story and illustrate it as well.
