Instructional Ideas
  • Provide a discussion on how the defining the variables may affect the equations but not the final solution
Classroom Considerations
  • The class should be familiar with writing linear equations from verbal descriptions
  • Requires the ability to solve systems of linear equations
  • The lesson is part 30 in a 33-part series
Pros
  • Lesson plan provides guidance to the teacher on how to approach the example problems
  • Problems incorporate previously learned math concepts
Cons
  • None
