Analogies deepen the understanding of words. Help your English language learners (or native speakers studying vocabulary) develop their understanding of words like agoraphobia, brevity, and hieroglyphics. A bridge sentence is provided for each analogy being made, and the last two require the learner to write the analogy themselves. A great method of scaffolding is employed here.
