Wood Sculptures and Constructions

Curated and Reviewed by Lesson Planet

Young scholars build and construct unique wood sculptures in order to develop creative-thinking, problem-solving, and fine-motor skills. In this construction lesson, students receive a variety of wooden shapes and use glue or other fasteners to create their sculptures. Young scholars then paint and decorate their work. When finished they share their creations; the class discusses similarities and differences between different sculptures.
