Weather Instruments

Middle school meteorologists get acquainted with basic weather instruments: the thermometer, barometer, psychrometer, and anemometer. For each, the question is asked, "Do you think you can make a _______________?" At these points, you can have a discussion about how pupils might go about building the instrument and then perform a demonstration. Follow the presentation with practice using or reading each type of weather tool.
