All oxidation-reduction reactions can be reduced to a gain or loss of electrons. A two-part virtual lab first has users perform an experiment to order four metals from strongest to weakest reducing agent. It then requires aspiring chemists to write an equation for silver metal reducing copper ions and conduct an experiment on this reaction.
