By examining data in three charts, students compare the number of cards a fictional student received and gave each year for a period of five years as given on the learning exercise. Students compare the numbers and use the greater than/less than symbols. This learning exercise could be a good Valentine's Day activity, or it could fit into the context of a larger data unit.
