U of Florida: Baldwin Library of Children's Literature

Digitization of Ruth Baldwin's 40-year collection of children's literature provides the user a glimpse into childhood memories. Literature primarily from the 19th and 20th century. Searching on a vast array of titles, such as Alice in Wonderland and Robinson Crusoe, brings up the actual book that, when clicked, the user can page through with a click of the mouse. This digitized collection provides "topics for the researcher to explore: education and upbringing, family and gender roles, civic values, racial, religious, and moral attitudes, literary style and format, and the arts of illustration and book design."
