Students are introduced to the concept of magnetism and investigate the properties of magnets. In this magnetism lesson plan, students identify a magnet then examine why certain things are attracted to magnets and some things are repelled by them. Students conduct a simple experiment with disc magnets, crayola marker, art yarn, and a jumbo animals themed set.
