The Paths of Literature: The Family Today

Curated and Reviewed by Lesson Planet

Use the internet to research the differences between families in the past and today. In groups, they identify the reponsibilities and roles of each member of the family. As a class, they compare and contrast non-fiction and fiction and read various excerpts of literature to identify the setting, characters, plot and theme. To end the activity, they take a survey for their teacher's eyes only about the structure of their family.
