Curated and Reviewed by Lesson Planet
This The Need for Algorithms lesson plan also includes:
  • The “Human Machine” Language (PDF)
  • The “Human Machine” Language (Doc)
  • Activity - Minimum Card Algorithm (PDF)
  • Activity - Minimum Card Algorithm (Doc)
  • Join to access all included materials

Pairs work through two scenarios that require them to generate an algorithm. The first activity requires pairs to define a common language to use; the second comes with the language. The pairs then must determine how to code the algorithm. The lesson plan is the second in a series of 10 and the second in a group of three promoting algorithms and programming.
