Here is a learning activity that incorporates a classic puzzle in mathematics. Young mathematicians are guided through a series of statements that describe rounds of pupils opening and closing lockers. The first person opens all 20 lockers, while the next person closes every other locker, starting at the second one. This process continues with the third, fourth, and so on until all 20 students have opened or closed a locker. The purpose of the activity is for learners to become familiar with multiples and factors so that their understanding can be strengthened. It is a fun and interesting way to work hands-on with patterns and multiples.
