Did you know that the visible light wavelengths comprise only one inch of the electromagnetic spectrum that extends over 2,000 miles? Yet even the visible spectrum provides so much information. The Hydrogen spectrum is illuminated as an example of how each element has a signature spectrum. This video clip does not contain much detailed information and is only appropriate for a brief introduction to electromagnetic radiation.
