Based off of the hit television show NUMB3RS, this lesson has students explore odds ratios and risk ratios. Framed in the context of a possibly contaminated playground on which children who play show signs of toxic exposure, students will determine whether there exists enough mathematical proof to believe that the playground is affecting the children. As an extension, students can also explore log-odds and log-odds ratios.
