Based off of the hit television show NUMB3RS, this lesson introduces students to the concept of changing number bases, as well as gives some insight into Internet privacy through "onion routing." Students translate hexadecimal numbers into decimal numbers in order to trace a message through a series of routers. After completing their task, students then encrypt their own message, send it through the routers, and give the resulting message.
