Based off of the hit television show NUMB3RS, this lesson introduces students to the Birthday Problem, in which one calculates how many people must be in a group so that a birthday is "probably" shared. The solution to this problem is presented by using complements, and beginning with easier sample spaces (for example, same birth month rather than same birth day).
