The concept of what is mine and what is yours seems simple, but for children with visual impairments, it is a concept that must be taught. Each child in the class puts one of their shoes in a single box, they take turns choosing a shoe, feeling it, and attempting to determine who the shoe belongs to. When they determine to owner of the shoe they proclaim it to the class and return it to its proper owner. Pronouns are used throughout the activity to promote grammar skills.
