Instructional Ideas

  • Shuffle the cards and pick a few while planning to mix up your activities and add in various learning styles to your lessons
  • While the idea here is that you use these questions to come up with ideas for the beginning of class or a lesson, these could easily be used to inspire an activity at any point in a lesson

Classroom Considerations

  • The resource also includes lines for writing down examples of how you might incorporate the ideas; some lines are on the cards and some are next to the cards
  • The actual questions aren't really related to pirates; the idea is just that you're prepared to be daring and hook your class
  • While the theme is for younger learners, you could use these questions to plan for any grade level

Pros

  • Comes with questions to help you think of ways to get students moving around the classroom, how to incorporate art and music, how to include opportunities for writing, how to apply your plans to the real world, and much more

Cons

  • None
