Surprise! is the theme of this series of challenge activities. The surprise comes from the information your scholars will discover when researching topics such as alligators and crocodiles, living in other countries, becoming a veterinarian, real versus make believe, the lives of spotted animals, and the differences between plants and trees. In addition to their research, learners participate in grand conversations, write books and articles, and share their findings and final products with their peers.
