Young scholars examine and think about various tools in their surrounding environment to facilitate development of their primary observation and sorting skills. In this tool observation instructional activity, students first sort a variety of tools any way they like, explaining their reasoning of why certain items belong together. As a class, the young scholars then decide on an appropriate location where each tool would belong (kitchen, garden, office, etc).
