Fifth graders demonstrate their knowledge for how animals survive in natural environments when a storm occurs. In this science/writing instructional activity, 5th graders engage in a listening activity with the teacher. Additionally, students write a paragraph explaining how the animal they selected survived that storm. Students also create a detailed picture of their visualization experience.
