Special Lines in Triangles (part 2)

Curated and Reviewed by Lesson Planet

Instructional Ideas
  • Investigate the centroid as the center of gravity of a triangle; once scholars construct the medians of a triangle, they cut it out and use the centroid to attempt to balance their triangles
  • Use a graphic organizer to record the information about the different special segments of a triangle
Classroom Considerations
  • A review of ratios may be required
Pros
  • Lesson highlights key vocabulary and uses the words throughout instruction
  • The progression of examples is sound
Cons
  • None
