A Conquistador is a Spanish name derived from the Reconquista, a period of reclaiming land from the Muslims. However, it became a call of conquest! Here are 17 slides that depict key conflicts between the Spanish and Native Mexican people. There are only two slides containing text, the rest are primary source images such as paintings and drawings from the period. A nice accent to a lecture on Cortex, Montezuma, Pizarro, and Atahualpa.
