Winter in the cold Northwoods of Wisconsin can be hard on animals that aren't adapted to the climate. Investigate the animals that are out and about even in the coldest winter temperatures as you and your class examine animal adaptations, migration, and hibernation. A worksheet is used to isolate animals from the Northwoods region that are active all year long. The class discusses what that animal would eat, where it comes from, and how it survives the cold.
