Students discuss steps of the scientific process, as well as, observe a picture of the beach that they will visit. Students create a testable hypothesis about marine debris  at the beach. In this science instructional activity, students create a research question and form a hypothesis based on past data. Students develop ways to show how they will collect their data. Additionally, students discuss their final experimental design. This instructional activity comes with handouts that address each step of the instructional activity.
