PBS has put together three war timelines covering the years from 1979 until present along with a timeline of Middle East history from 1916 to the present in an attempt to show how the key events from all of these areas are related. The war on terrorism, the war in Afghanistan, and the war in Iraq are all covered. There is a description of each event along with a picture, and the accompanying world map shows where each event took place. Each war timeline can be accessed separately, or with one or more of the other timelines, allowing one to make connections between events. You can click on a colored icon on the timeline bar to go to a specific year, or click on the arrows at the bottom to scroll through the events in order. Clicking on the event list at the bottom corner will bring up the entire list of events.
