Instructional Ideas

  • Include in a reading packet or comprehension assessment
  • Have readers think about two parties they have attended, and use the graphic organizer to compare and contrast their own experiences

Classroom Considerations

  • Some of the worksheets are in color, but printing in black and white shouldn't affect understanding
  • Font for the reading passage is a little small, and contains typos

Pros

  • Emphasizes comparing and contrasting skills, as well as close reading
  • Two worksheets can be combined onto one piece of paper, making it a good homework activity or warm-up

Cons

  • None
