The first section has four multiple-choice problems: learners circle the fraction represented by the shaded objects in each set. Next, they write only the numerator for nine fractions, also representing the shaded objects in a set. An example breaks down the process by explaining what the top and bottom numbers mean, but use this to introduce the proper terms if your scholars are ready.
