Number TIC TAC TOE

Curated and Reviewed by Lesson Planet
This Number TIC TAC TOE lesson plan also includes:

Working in pairs, young mathematicians will practice number identification with a game of tic-tac-toe. Supplies needed: two 3x3 grids with numbers 1-9 in random order, and two different colored crayons. Player 1 will choose and read a number out loud, and player 2 will confirm if they identified the number correctly. If so, player 1 will outline his chosen number in crayon. This game will continue until one player has three numbers outlined across the grid. The teacher will confirm the winner by checking to see if all three numbers can be identified correctly by the player. Note: the tic-tac-toe grids are not included, but are easy enough to produce.
