Newspaper Unit: Reading Lesson Plan

Work on identifying the different parts of a newspaper with your English learners. After reviewing newspaper terminology, pupils pair up and complete a scavenger hunt, looking for specific things in the newspaper and recording their answers. This activity should familiarize them with newspapers and expose them to the English language in a real-world context. Although the lesson plan states that it is meant for adults, this could be adapted for high school classroom use.
