Young scholars practice scientific observation by writing abstracts.  In this science reporting instructional activity, students identify the 4 segments of a scientific abstract, what the problem is, how it was studied, what was found and the importance of the findings.  Young scholars analyze already written abstracts and break them down into traditional paragraphs.
