Class members experience discrimination first hand. As pupils enter the room, some are given a piece of candy. Then the entire group listens to a reading of Christine Farris King's, My Brother Martin: A Sister Remembers, and discusses examples of prejudice and discrimination in the reading. Finally, the discussion shifts to the feelings of those class members who did not get a piece of candy.
