Learners learn to understand the role of both skeletons and exoskeletons. For this lesson on exoskeletons, students locate and label bones on diagram of a human skeleton, and observe and discuss bones of chicken and fish. Learners then compare these types of bones. Next, students complete an on-line activity, labeling parts of skeletons.
