High schoolers compare and contrast their concepts of leadership with Machiavelli's, as outlines in The Prince. For this literature lesson, students identify positions that call for leadership and brainstorm qualities necessary for such a role.  High schoolers then create a Venn diagram to compare and contrast Machiavelli's idea of a leader with their own.
